Quick Tip - Jeep CJ Quarter Panel Clearance

Gaining a little clearance on your rump

While doing some rust repair/rocker protection fabrication, I decided to take a little metal off the rump end of the CJ5. I chopped about 3" or so off the back end with a angle grinder sporting a fresh zip disc.

Only takes a minute to do. It can be helpful in a lot of situations. I've rolled back off of logs and rocks, only to crunch my quarter panels on other rocks or logs.

The added clearance will help in those tight situations, and also gives the Jeep a slightly different look.
